4) Internal link building is as important as external link building. Make sure that all your pages are internally linked specially from home page. Try to include a site map in your website and submit XML sitemap to search engines like google. Sitemap proves as a guide to google crawlers as it provides all the links and deep links to your website.

5) Increase your external link popularity as well. Try to exchange links with those who belong to industry similar to you. Try to get the back links from the pages having higher page ranks. Higher the page ranks, better the link building. Incoming links should use your keyword phrase to get the maximum juice.

6) Assure that your website is complete, there are no spelling mistakes and the server hosting the website has good uptime before you submit your websites to major search engines to crawl your web pages. Include robots.txt if you want the google spiders to avoid crawling some web pages or directories for your website.

7) Optimize your images used on the website so that it does not affect the page loading time. Avoid using many images on single page as it takes longer to load if there are many images on same web page.

Try to book the domain name with your major keyword in the name itself. It makes your efforts to get higher rankings much easier with lesser efforts. Also, book your domain name for more number of years as search engines also take the age of the domain into the consideration while giving importance to your website.

9) Update the contents of your website at regular interval of time. Try to avoid minor changes every few days. It is better to make a major change in web page content once a month rather then changing few words here and there each week.
